I dashed off on Saturday Morning to run a few errands I have been meaning to do forever, including dropping off a bag of my dad's air force uniforms at The War Store, which is in Saxonwold right next to the Zoo.
I had in tow my eight year old next door neighbour Princess Fiona, who was thrilled to see the zoo again. She went on a school trip to the Joburg Zoo a month ago and recognized the area as we approached.
As we drove into the Military Museum at the back of the zoo we saw a lady leaving the zoo in a beautiful skirt. It was a panel skirt, so that was perfect for this weeks collection of panel skirts, but what made it even more exciting was the picture in the trim.
Fiona and I dashed after her and got the picture, but we were out of breath and couoldnt find the pen, and she was walking to her next destination. We asked her what her name was, and both Fiona and I tried to remember it all the way to the car. Fiona said her name means 'Happiness', but byt the time we got back to my car and found a pen, our collective memory of her name was a big garbled. I could have titled this post the name that the two of us finally settled on, but I have my doubts about its resemblance to the original.
When a lady walks out the Zoo with leopards on her pretty shwe shwe skirt you just have to capture that!
